Bernz is the name behind the multifaceted project by Bernard Eppenberger. Born in Cape Town in 1979, Bernard grew up in the suburbs of early Table View and soon got inspired by its electronic scene. He started practising the fine art of mixing, choosing psytrance as main expression for his sets and since 1997, Bernz is promptly proving that his personal style is able to spoke to a wider spectrum of the early Cape Town club scene. Moved to London in 2007, he started producing psytrance in a modest studio and kept on travelling and refining his sound designing skills for 2 years. When he returned to his birthplace, he got signed to Beartrap Productions and became resident DJ at Vortex, as well as performing at some bigger festival with Tron, Dicktser, Zen Mechanics, Avalon, Materia, Ital and more. Bernz's ability to read the crowd and to connect to the dancefloor makes his psytrance sets dynamic, psychedelic and dirty enough to feel the heat of the African sun. In 2016 he has joined Blacklite Records, one of his sound's most representative Labels, also committing himself to a future activity as producer in the label.
